Group Intervention Description Placebo group Hyperinsulemic euglycemic clamp Corn Starch 300 mg for 14 days ABA group Hyperinsulemic euglycemic clamp 95 ug 2x/day for 14 days Placebo group Placebo Corn Starch 300 mg for 14 days ABA group Oral abscisic acid (ABA) 95 ug 2x/day for 14 days Placebo group Muscle Biopsy Corn Starch 300 mg for 14 days ABA group Muscle Biopsy 95 ug 2x/day for 14 days
- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Insulin sensitivity 4-6 hours Insulin sensitivity will be measured using hyperinsulinic euglycemic clamp
Monitoring adverse events 10 weeks Adverse events will be monitored at each visit throughout the duration of the study.
