We will include women with a score of 6 and above and men with a score of 8 and above on the AUDIT test during pre-screening. Participants must be between 18 and 75 years old and be able to read and understand Swedish. Subjects must also own and be able to operate a functioning smartphone.
Subjects will be excluded from the study if they have an AUDIT score of less than 8 (or 6 for females). In addition, subjects will be excluded if they have used other illicit substances regularly (at least once per week) in the past 6 months. Subjects with severe psychiatric disorders as determined by the study medical examiner, such as current major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, will be excluded.
Regarding medication, antidepressants are accepted in stable, regular doses for at least two months, with the exception of agomelatine. The use of melatonin is accepted if it is taken regularly and in a stable dose for more than two months. Individuals taking antipsychotics, lithium, or benzodiazepines are also excluded. Antiepileptic drugs, with the exception of valproate, are accepted if individuals have been on stable medication for at least 2 months. Individuals taking anti-craving medications are accepted provided they have been on stable medication for at least 2 months.

Name Time Method The purpose of the study is to determine whether alcohol craving varies throughout the day and exhibits a 24-hour circadian pattern.
