All adult patients admitted to medical ICU and post cardiac surgical ICU and those who are not on mechanical ventilation in whom IJV/Subclavian central venous catheter is already present for other indications
a) Patient not consenting for Ultrasound examination
b) Inadequate window
c) Pregnant women
d) Unable to lie supine for USG assessment
e) Known case of liver cirrhosis/ portal venous thrombosis/ Inferior Vena Cava thrombus
f) Patients with respiratory distress (respiratory rate more than 35, accessory muscles of respiratory in use
