Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •For FCPD group:All the patients with FCPD attending the clinic during the time period were included
- •For Type 2 Diabetes group:
- •1\. Patients diagnosed with T2DM at least 1 year
- •before the time of periodontal status
- •2\. Patients above the age of 12 years.
- •3\. Minimum of 20 teeth present
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with other systemic diseases which may affect the periodontal status (Osteoporosis , Rheumatoid Arthritis etc),
- •2\. pregnant and lactating mothers
- •3\. Patients taking medications which may affect the periodontal status (Nifedipine,
- •Cyclosporine, Phenytoin etc)
- •4\. Patients with acute condition that contraindicate a periodontal examination.
- •5\. Patients who received periodontal therapy past 1 year.
- •6\. Patients not willing to sign informed consent
