This prospective respective randomized trial will be conducted in 100 patients scheduled to undergo elective surgeries under general anaesthesia and requiring endotracheal intubation and nasogastric tube insertion . Patients of either sex with age more than 18 years and belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologist Physical Status 1 and 2 will be enrolled for participation in study.
1.Obstetric patients
2.Any contraindication for nasal intervention such as patient with coagulopathy
3 Trauma patients with nasal fracture and fracture of base of skull
4 History of epistaxis
5.Any nasal pathology
