Inclusion Criteria
Patients under ASA I and II
Undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
Refusal to participate
Major peripheral vascular disease, unstable angina or ejection fraction <40%, implanted pacemaker/cardioverter, history of heart failure, autonomic nervous system disorders
Respiratory distress, increased intraabdominal pressure, difficult airway
Mental incompetence
Patients currently taking angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, beta blockers and calcium channel blockers
