Postpartum Depression(PPD) is a prevalent psychological condition affecting Women after childbirth, characterized by sadness , anxiety , fatigue etc.., and impaired bonding with new born. it can negatively impact maternal health infants development and family dynamics. the relaxation techniques are increasingly being explored due to their accessibility safety and cost effectiveness. Jacobson’s relaxation technique is a muscle relaxation method that involves the systematic tension and relaxing of major muscle group promote the physical and mental calmness. on the other hand Benson relaxation technique (BRT) combines elements of meditation and breathing to elicit relaxation response and and reduce stress level. Both technique have demonstrated psychological benefits in various population, but limited comparative research exist regarding this specific impact on postpartum depression this study aims to fill the gap by evaluating and comparing the effectiveness of JRT & BRT in alleviating symptoms of PPD , thus providing evidence for intergrating , suitable relaxation strategies in postnatal care.
