- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method We will verify the change in the perception of tinnitus severity using the THI (Tinnitus Handicap Inventory) questionnaire in relation to the total score and its three scales: functional, emotional and catastrophic before and after electroacupuncture (P<0.05). It is expected to find a decrease in the degree of annoyance and tinnitus intensity after electroacupuncture (P<0.05) through the Visual Analog Scale. We will compare the effects of real and simulated electroacupuncture in people with tinnitus (P<0.05).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method An improvement in quality of life is expected from the reduction in the severity and frequency of tinnitus in patients undergoing electroacupuncture, verified through the data collection instruments proposed in the study. Complementary information to understand the effects of electroacupuncture in the treatment of tinnitus was obtained at the beginning of the sessions, and the participants were asked about (emotional stress, headache, accidents, use of medication, etc...)
