Inclusion Criteria

The patients eligible for participation in the study if they are: 1) aged 18 years old and over; 2) new cases of registration on the CABG waiting list; 3) patients with no history of previous cardiothoracic surgery; 4) able to read and understand the Thai language and 5) able to be contacted by telephone.

Exclusion Criteria

Exclusion criteria
The patients will be excluded from the study if they: 1) have a Depression Subscale (HADS-D) of the Thai version of Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (Thai HADS) score of more than 15 points, thereby indicating severe symptoms for depression ;2) have a significant life-threatening non-cardiovascular disease such as advanced cancer; 3) have a history of psychiatric disorders or cognitive dysfunction such as neurologic diseases or dementia with a Thai Mental State Examination (TMSE) score of less than 24 points, thereby indicating cognitive impairment; and 4) have a history of functional inability such as immobilization syndrome.
