- •1-Confirmation of HIV infection by Western-blot test 2-receiving HAART medications 3- score lower than 20 in Hamilton Rating Scale for depression 4-Mild to moderate major depressive disorder based on DSM-V 5-consent for entering the trial
- •Exclusin criteria: 1-receving antidepressants, 2-ongoing addiction, 3-opportunistic infections during 45 days before entering the trial, 4-severe depression and suicidality, 6-death of loved ones during the last month, 7-active infection and fever, 8-cancer, 9-pregnancy, 10-alcohol dependence, 11-history of allergy to minocycline or other tetracyclines, 12- Cognitive disorders including dementia due to HIV
