Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients with retinal detachment who require a pars plana vitrectomy with gas endotamponate or a scleral buckling surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •\-reduced general condition of health, inability to sit through examination
- •\-severe chronic diseases and/or psychic conditions that will severely reduce cooperative participation
- •\-severe optic opacities reducing retinal examinability
- •\-prisoners, institutionalized patients
