简要总结
In this study 4% Articaine with 1:1,00,000 epinephrine is used as the local anesthetic agent in non-surgical extraction on mandibular third molars. The third molars are not in close proximity to the nerve and is not associated with any periapical pathology. Onset, Duration and Intra-operative pain assessment is recorded on the day of the surgery. Paresthesia is checked using clinical neurosensory tests on the post-operative days 1,3, and 5.

入选标准
- •Healthy volunteers between 18 & 60 years of age, who require extraction of lower 3rd molar.
- •Both male and female.
- •Be available for follow up examinations.
- •Willing to participate in the study.
排除标准
- •Involvement or proximity of 3rd molar to inferior alveolar nerve using radiographic evaluation (intraoral periapical radiograph/OPG)
- •Impacted teeth.
- •Root canal treated teeth.
- •Allergy to local anaesthetics.
- •Swelling or infection associated with the 3rd molar site.
- •Pregnancy or current lactation.
- •Patients with existing systemic problem.
