Inclusion Criteria

1.Patients undergoing lower Segment caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia.

2.All patients with fasting period of 6 hours to solids and 2 hours to liquids

3.American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status grade II

Exclusion Criteria

1.High risk pregnancy â?? Eclampsia, Preeclampsia, Abruption placenta, Placenta Previa, Cord prolapse, Pregnancy with medical disordered (Diabetes mellitus, Cardiac disease, Thyroid disease)

2.Multiple gestations

3.Caesarean with fetal distress

4.Absolute contraindication to spinal anaesthesia

5.Patients on steroid therapy or past history of medication with steroids in last 1 year

6.Diabetic patient with HbA1c of more than 8

7.Obese patient with BMI > 40

8.Intraoperative blood loss of more than 20%

9.Pre-operative hemoglobin level less than 8 mg/dl

10.Patients with Raised CRP and total leucocyte counts

11.Allergy to local anaesthetic drug

12.Severe spinal deformity
