简要总结

This research is a cross-sectional study to explore inter-limb asymmetry in functional performance, dynamic balance, and flexibility among healthy university-level athletes. This study is essential to understand whether asymmetry represents a potential risk factor for injury or a sport-specific neuromuscular adaptation, thereby aiding in early identification and prevention of functional impairments. The methodology for this study will involve a sample size of 94 participants. The participants will be screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A screening form will be completed along with a data collection form, which includes demographic details and relevant anthropometric measurements.Outcome measures used in this study will include the Y-Balance Test, Single Leg Hop Test, Single Leg Triple Hop Test, Modified Back-Saver Sit-and-Reach Test, and the Waterloo Footedness Questionnaire-Revised (WFQ-R). The Y-Balance Test is used to assess dynamic balance and postural control, while the Single Leg Hop Test and Single Leg Triple Hop Test evaluate functional performance and lower limb power. The Modified Back-Saver Sit-and-Reach Test is used to assess flexibility, particularly of the lower back and hamstring muscles. The Waterloo Footedness Questionnaire-Revised (WFQ-R) is used to determine limb dominance. Together, these measures will help quantify inter-limb asymmetry and its functional significance in the study population.
