Brief Summary

Study Overview

The study compares the effectiveness of two Ayurvedic treatments for the pain management of Cervical Spondylosis

Treatment Groups

Group 1 Marma Chikitsa- 20 patients of this group will be treated with Marma Chikitsa once a day for 15 days treatment involving specific pressure points (Marma points) to relieve pain

Group 2 Local Application Of Prasarini taila of 20 patients of this group will be treated  for 15 days in every 7th day (0th, 7th,14th day)

Expected Outcome

The study aims to determine which treatment is more effective in pain managing of  Cervical spondylosis

Possible Results

Marma Chikitsa more effective  If Group 1 shows significant improvement in pain management of Cervical Spondylosis symptoms compared to Group 2

Local Application Of  Prasarini Taila more effective If Group 2 shows significant improvement in pain management of  Cervical spondylosis symptoms compared to Group 1

The study’s findings can help determine the most suitable treatment approach for  Cervical spondylosis

Inclusion Criteria
  • 1.Subject Of Age Group 20 – 70 Years.
  • 2.X-Ray Showing Radiological Sign Of Cervical Spondylosis.
  • 3.Patients Of Either Sex Having Clinical Features Like Pain In Neck Region Stiffness Restricted Movement Of Neck Tingling And Numbness In Upper Extremities.
  • 4.Patients With Written Consent To Participate In The Study.
Exclusion Criteria
  • 1.Fracture Or Dislocation In Cervical Spine.
  • 2.Infectious Disease Of Cervical Spine.
  • 3.Patients With Trauma In Neck Region.
  • 4.Pregnant And Lactating Women.
  • 5.Patients With Major Systemic Disorders Like Tuberculosis Malignancies Etc.
