18(Year) to 60(Year) (—)

Inclusion Criteria

  • (1) less than 60 years of age; (2) a history of ulnar wrist pain that worsened with pronation and ulnar deviation of the wrist; (3) no history of trauma of the forearm and wrist; (4) a positive provocation test (ulnocarpal stress test); and (5) a diagnosis of central TFCC tear based on MRI findings.

Exclusion Criteria

  • (1) distal radioulnar joint instability; (2) arthroscopic findings of TFCC detachment from the fovea; (3) ulnocarpal abutment syndrome as having ulnar plus variance more than 2.5 mm in pronation power-grip position; or (4) radiographic evidence of an old fracture or congenital anomalies of the wrist, such as a Madelung deformity.
