Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. ASA physical status I,II and III
- •2\. Patients posted for fracture surgery under subarachnoid block and likely to have pain while positioning.
- •3\. Patients able to give written and informed consent.
- •4\. Patients able to understand VAS score regarding assessment of pain
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with contraindications to subarachnoid block.
- •2\. Patients with allergy to amide local anaesthetics or Fentanyl.
- •3\. Patients with history of drug or alcohol abuse.
- •4\. Morbid obesity (BMI \>29 kg/m2\).
- •5\. Patients with other co\-morbid conditions like DM, HT, IHD, bronchial asthma, COPD, neurological or musculoskeletal diseases.
- •6\. Patients with multiple fractures.
- •7\. Patients refusal and unable to understand VAS score.
- •8\. Use of analgesics 8 hours before the performance of subarachnoid block.
