1. chidren age group 2 to 6 yrs
2.ASA 1 or 2
3. short surgical procedures being carried out in Operation theatre of ARMY HOSPITAL R & R in the above age group of paediatric patients
4. Scheduled for elective procedures of estimated duration less than 2 years
1. age less than 2 or more than 6 yrs
2.emergency proocedures
3. ASA 3 or more
4.Neurological illness
5.Neurodevelopmental anomalies
6.Autism spectrum disorder
7.Renal or hepatic disease
8.Cardiac or respiratory disease
9.any signs or symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection .After enrolment and data collection ,these children who have any intraoperative complicationseg bradycardia /hypotension )or postoperative complications like laryngospasmwill be excluded from anlaysis
