Participant should first ever episode of Left Hemisphere stroke resulting in a non-fluent type of aphasia.
Participant should be identified with agrammatism
Participant should be a native Kannada speaker premorbidly
Participants should be able to communicate at least at a word or phrase level.
None should have any history of neurological, psychiatric, speech-language, or learning disorders prior to their stroke.
Age range: 18-80 years
Normal or corrected-to-normal peripheral vision and hearing acuity
Should have obtained minimum scholastic education up to 7th standard with Kannada being one of the languages studied in the curriculum.
Participants should be able to name at least 10 out of 20 random nouns and 10 out of 20 random verbs on confrontation.
Severe aphasia with no verbal output (i.e. individuals with global aphasia and severe Brocaâ??s aphasia).
Presence of oral or verbal apraxia
Presence of premorbid left handedness
Aphasia quotient scores less than 20
