Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • ITN patient inclusion criteria:
  • 1\) attacks involving the branches to the first II and (or) the first III;
  • 2\) VAS baseline score \>\= 5 points when participating in this study, onset was more than 3 times a day, onset was at least 4 days a week, and onset was more than 4 weeks in a row;
  • 3\) aged 18\-80 years;
  • 4\) clear consciousness, pain perception and discrimination, able to complete basic communication;
  • 5\) sign the informed consent and volunteer to participate in the study.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Exclusion criteria for ITN patients:
  • 1\) obvious deformity or compression of the trigeminal nerve on the affected side;
  • 2\) patients with epilepsy, head injury or other related neurological diseases;
  • 3\) patients with severe heart, liver or kidney damage or cognitive dysfunction, aphasia, mental disorder, or inability to cooperate with treatment;
  • 4\) patients with hypertension with poor control;
  • 5\) patients with a recently diagnosed history of severe depression;
  • 6\) pregnant or lactating patients;
  • 7\) install pacemakers;
  • 8\) for any other reason, it is not suitable for electroacupuncture treatment or mri examination.
