Inclusion Criteria

(1) a diagnosis of MFTP in upper trapezius muscle by Simon’s criteria;
(2) had mild to moderate pain intensity with visual analogue pain scale1-6;
(3) aged within the range of 18-30 years old;
(4) willing to be the participant and signed the consented form

Exclusion Criteria

(1) a history of drug or other treatment to MFTP within previous three months;
(2) neuromuscular disorders such as cervical myelopathy or motor neuron disease;
(3) a disease of the joints and bones;
(4) a prohibition on making radial shockwaves include high blood pressure, bleeding, ulcers or diseases of the skin, cancer, epilepsy, and intellectual disability.
