Brief Summary

The study will adopt a descriptive research designwith quantitative research approach. The study will be conducted in a tertiarymental health care setting. Total 60 number of persons diagnosed with substanceuse disorder attending tertiary mental healthcare setting during datacollection periods will be the sample of the study. Person who can read andunderstand either assamese or english will be selected through purposivesampling technique. The socio demographic and clinical variables datasheet,Rosenberg self-esteem scale (10items) and perceived stress scale (10items) willbe used to collect the data. The informed consent will be taken fromparticipants after proper explanation and assurance for confidentiality andanonymity of data. The study does not include any invasive procedures. Thecollected data will be analysis with appropriate descriptive statistics(central tendency, standard deviation) and Inferential statistics- (Chi- squaretest and karl-pearson correlation coefficient.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Person diagnosed as substance use disorder who attend LGBRIMH, Tezpur.
  • Person who can read and understand either English and Assamese.
Exclusion Criteria
  • Person with active psychopathology 2.
  • Person with substance use disorder presently on delirium state.
