Comparison of accuracy in measurement of wrist range of motion between gyroscopes and standard goniometer

Phase 1
Completed
Conditions
The aim of this study was to prove the accuracy of the gyroscopic MEMS devices for active wrist joint range of motion compared with standard goniometer
Gyroscopic MEMS, standard goniometer, gyroscopic application ,active wrist joint range of motion
Registration Number
TCTR20220110006
Lead Sponsor
Maha Vajiralongkorn foundation
Brief Summary

Average measurements from the three approaches had within 1.5 degrees of differences from each other, for all of the movements. Both the developed IMU glove and smartphone device showed excellent correlation to the goniometer in most of the movements, with ICC between 0.914 to 0.961 and 0.929 and 0.951, respectively.
