1. Female patients aged 27 to 55 years;
2. Diagnosis of melasma according to the Diagnostic and Treatment Criteria of Melasma and Leukoderma of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine;
3. Symptoms have been present for more than 1 month;
4. Patients with moderate to severe melasma, moderate is defined with a modified Melasma Area and Severity Index (mMASI) score of 5.8 to 7.9,and severe melasma is those with a mMASI > 8;
5. Patients who have not been treated for other melasma treatment in the past three months;
6. Avoid ultraviolet rays and oral contraceptives during treatment;
7. Sign informed consent.
1. Pregnant or nursing women;
2. Diseases such as cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, liver, kidney, blood system and mental disorders;
3. Patients with other facial pigmentation diseases, such as: zygomatic brown mole, melanosis, and pigmented actinic lichen planus, etc;
4. Coagulation disorders (such as hemophilia, etc.);
5. Have a history of allergy to catgut;
6. Participation in another clinical study in the past 3 months.
