Inclusion Criteria
Adult patients of ASA physical status I /II scheduled to undergo elective Laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery under general anaesthesia requiring tracheal intubation will be included in the study
Exclusion Criteria
-ASA grade III or more
-Patients with anticipated difficult airway, those requiring more than one attempt or more than 20 sec for laryngoscopy
-BMI >30 kg m 2
-Known allergy to melatonin

Name Time Method To observe the changes in hemodynamics (HR, SBP, DBP, MBP, SpO2, EtCO2) at the time of laryngoscopy and intubation.Timepoint: Baseline, after taken of study drug, before induction, after induction, after intubation at 1min, 3min, 5min, 10min and 15 min. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method -To observe Respiratory rate variation. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>-To observe side effect of drug if any present like respiratory depression. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: at baseline, after induction, just after intubation, after intubation at 1min, 3min, 5min, 10min and 15 min and in postoperative period till 24 hr
