Posaconazole fungal keratitis

- Brief Summary
Cases with microbiologically confirmed *Aspergillus* *Flavus* keratitis and worsening as documented by increase in the size of infiltrate >1 mm or deeper extension on the treatment with Topical Natamycin and oral Ketoconazole, will be included and started on topical Posaconazole(4mg/0.1ml). This will be prepared directly from commercially prepared oral suspension of similar concentration. All cases will be regularly followed up under slit lamp examination and in case of worsening will be subjected to surgical treatment.Anti-fungal susceptibilities of all the isolates will be tested in the laboratory.

- Age equal to or more than 18 years.

- Male or female 3) Stromal infiltrate size > 4 mm--< 8 mm and worsening(infiltrate size increasing >1 mm on follow-up ) on Topical Natamycin and Ketoconazole with mid stromal involvement.

- Microbiologically confirmed Aspergillus Flavus keratitis.

- The patient has a history of allergy to any of drugs used.

- The cornea or sclera has been perforated or perforation is impending.

- One eyed patient 4) Pregnant patient.
