Inclusion Criteria
- Persons aged 60 years and older and who require medical attention in the emergency rooms due to sustaining a fall.
Exclusion Criteria
- A major unstable cardiopulmonary disease
- Cognitive impairment
- Contraindications to physical exercise
- The inability to ambulate
- Frail elderly.

Group Intervention Description Lower-extremity exercise training Exercise This training will be tailored by physical therapists for each participant. A series of exercises will be applied to increase the stability of the trunk muscles and to strengthen the leg muscles. Tai chi exercise Exercise Yang-style tai chi with 18 movements will be taught every week over the 6-month intervention period at a subject's residence by tai chi instructors
