- Brief Summary
The aim is to find out if nasal cannula when used as an adjunct to face maskimproves ETO2.
**PrimaryObjectives**: 1. To assess the ETO2 with face mask with and withoutnasal cannula while breathing Tidal volume ventilation with 100% oxygen for 3minutes.
2. To assess the ETO2 withface mask and nasal cannula while preoxygenating with100% oxygen for 8 vitalcapacity breaths over 1 minute.
3.To compare the ETO2 with face mask and nasal cannula with 3 minutepreoxygenation and 8 vital capacity breaths.
**Secondary objective:** toassess the comfort of the patient with nasal cannula

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method It is expected that nasal cannula will improve pre oxygenation by increasing end tidal oxygen concentration with either 3 minute tidal volume breaths or 8 vital capacity breaths over 1 minute. 3 minutes for tidal volume preoxygenation and 1 minute for vital capacity pre oxygenation.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method comfort of the patient with different flows through nasal cannula will be assesed. during the trial.
