Inclusion Criteria

Patient > 18 years

Patient requiring central venous catheterisation for any clinical reason

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with

Coagulopathies (Severe coagulation abnormalities (platelets <=50,000/ μL, or INR >=1.5, or PTT >=50 s) will be corrected before Cannulation

Patient on therapeutic anticoagulants

Distorted chest anatomy

Superior vena cava syndrome

Infective Endocarditis

Infection at the cannulation site
