Males and Females aged between 25 to 85 years and above with "first-ever-stroke" were included in the study. WHO definition of stroke :Stroke(CVD) event is described as rapidly developing signs of focal disturbance of cerebral function lasting more than twenty four hours (unless interrupted by surgery or death) and of presumed vascular origin. The definition includes patients presenting with clinical signs and symptoms of subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, thrombosis and embolism.
History of past stroke, recurrent strokes, TIA and people aged below 25 were excluded from the study.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Patient?s demographic data, neurological deficit(by NIHSS scale), CT information, risk factors, treatment history, 28 day follow-up by Modified Rankin Scale and Barthel Index were studied.Timepoint: 28 day post stroke.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Morbidity status by Barthel Index and Modified Rankin scale at the end of 90 days and 1 year post stroke.Timepoint: 90 days and 1 year post stroke.
