Primary target: lateral fibula plate [OPS 5-7933r, 2r, 1r]
Secondary target: surgical treated fibula or pilon fracture
Exclusion Criteria
Injury or infection of the region of interest
Additional For primary target: other than lateral plate or other injury but fibula fracture

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Assessment of factors that may impair wound healing after plate osteosynthesis of the fibula by a lateral approach. These factors are ought to be weighed for the development of a scoring system to find the individually optimal surgical therapy for every patient.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Subjective and objective outcome on the basis of scores (SF36, AOFAS, MOXFQ) and a fuctional follow-up examination (objectification of the mobility by a gait analysis (kinematic and kinetic gait parameters).
