Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Subjects detected with early stage chronic kidney disease defined by KDIGO guidelines. Stage G2 and G3a; eGFR ranging from 45 to 89 ml/min/1\.73 m2\.
- •For Controls:
- •Healthy volunteers above the age of 20 years referred for routine general ultrasound.
- •Controls will be screened by taking history and going through medical records to meet inclusion criteria.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Athletes, body builders and physically active individuals.
- •2\.History of upper limb surgery.
- •3\.Hereditary neuromuscular disorders.
- •4\.History of malignancy.
- •5\.History of diabetes.
- •6\.History of thyroid disorders
- •7\.History of renal/hepatic/cardiovascular disease.
- •8\.History of steroid intake.
- •9\.Any other rheumatological diagnosis.
- •10\.Osteoarticular injuries.
