Inclusion Criteria
For Cases:
•Subjects detected with early stage chronic kidney disease defined by KDIGO guidelines. Stage G2 and G3a; eGFR ranging from 45 to 89 ml/min/1.73 m2.
For Controls:
•Healthy volunteers above the age of 20 years referred for routine general ultrasound.
•Controls will be screened by taking history and going through medical records to meet inclusion criteria.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Athletes, body builders and physically active individuals.
2.History of upper limb surgery.
3.Hereditary neuromuscular disorders.
4.History of malignancy.
5.History of diabetes.
6.History of thyroid disorders
7.History of renal/hepatic/cardiovascular disease.
8.History of steroid intake.
9.Any other rheumatological diagnosis.
10.Osteoarticular injuries.
