Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients of 18\-60 years, both sexes.
  • •2\.Patients willing to give informed consent.
  • •3\.Ankle fracture treated surgically with an implant.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.patient with Pilon fractures including articular impaction requiring elevation of fragments were excluded.
  • •2\.If the patients are treated differently after the initial study phase.
  • •3\.Not willing to participate in the study.
  • •4\.Bilateral ankle fractures or other major injuries that would affect recovery time
  • •5\.Inability to co\-operate with post\-op protocol (advanced dementia, polytrauma patients).
  • •6\.Non\-ambulatory preinjury.
  • •7\.Neuropathic joint: diabetic neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, syphilis, leprosy, spinal cord injury.
  • •8\.If operating surgeon feels the fixation is not stable.
