- •2. Orthodontic treatment requiring the placement of two separators in each of the four quadrants.
- •3. Willing to sign a written informed consent.

- •1. Pregnant subjects
- •2. Contraindications to the use of piroxicam or NSAIDS in general
- •3. Significant medical illnesses that prevent the subject from participating in the study.
- •4. Tooth extraction or surgical procedure before separator placement
