Development, Pharmaceutical, Analytical study of soap and cream prepared with Trinak Taila as main ingredient and its clinical study in Dadru Kustha Roga

All the skin diseases in Ayurveda have been classified in to Mahakustha and Kshudra Kustha. Dadru is one among the Kustha. Acharya Charak has included Dadru in Kshudra Kustha where as Acharya Sushruta and Acharya Vagbhata have explained under Mahakustha. It involves the clinical features like Kandu, Raga, Pidika, Mandala, Utsanna which exhibits the involvement of Kapha and Pitta dosha. In the explanation of chikitsa for Dadru, Bahhiparimarjan chikitsa is mentioned. Therefore the Trinak Taila mentioned in the Chakradutta which reduces the symptoms of Dadru is taken for study. All patients will be selected from OPD of Shri Krishna Govt Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Kurukshetra. Patients with age group between 18-65 yrs with lakshan of dadru will be selected. Patients below 18yrs and above 65 yrs  of age  along  with long standing medicine, chronicity more than 2 yrs and associated with other skin diseases will be excluded. Maximum 20 patients are in two groups. Group A has 10 patients advised for local application of Trinak Taila and Group B has 10 patients  advised for local application of ointment prepared with Trinak Taila. Follow up will be done after every 7 days during trial. After completing trial for 30 days, patients will be reassessed again every 15 days for 45 days to assess the efficacy of trial drug.
