1. Patients presenting with keloid in any area of the body except joints.
2. Post surgical excision scar of keloid of more than or equal to 2cm in longest dimension.
3. Patients who are willing to be included in our study, who will accept the likely complications of irradiation after thorough counselling. The likely complications within the desired dosage of which are :
I.Erythema, edema, desquamation, ulceration of skin.
II.Pigmentary changes(hypo- or hyperpigmentation), atrophy,alopecia,telangiectasias and necrosis of skin.
1. Unwilling patients.
2. Pregnant females and lactating mothers
3. Patients with medical conditions contraindicated to receive irradiation.
