Inclusion criteria study phase 1:
- Pupils aged 15 to 18 from Berlin grammar schools, integrated secondary schools, upper secondary schools and vocational schools in grades 9 - 12 or in years 1 - 3 of vocational training.
- Pupils can only participate in the online survey after submitting a signed declaration of consent.
Inclusion criteria study phase 2:
- Pupils from study phase 1
- Signed consent form for the cardiological examination from the pupils and, if applicable, from the parents or legal guardians in the case of underage students (15 - 17 years).
- Students must have health insurance and consent to report clinically relevant findings.
- Only adolescents who have a chronically high consumption of EDs (EDs on at least 4 days per week with a daily intake of > 3 mg caffeine per kg body weight) will be included in the high-consumption group.
- The control group will include only adolescents who consume a maximum of one glass or cup (250 ml) of a caffeinated beverage once a week but do not consume EDs.
