1. General status: Healthy patients, no systemic disease
2. Mandibular premolar with single root canal, symptomatic Irreversible pulpitis.
3. Normal radiographically-single root canal, without any periapical lesion.
4. Restorable teeth
1. General status: Pregnancy, history hypersensitivity to lidocaine
2. Systemic disease
3. Multi rooted bicuspids
4. Inability to take analgesics
5. Pulp necrosis, symptomatic irreversible pulpitis
6. Presence of Sinus tract
7. Periradicular status: Widening of PDL space, radiolucency, abscess, radiopacity.
8. Presence of resorption
9. Restorative status: impossible to restore, presence of crown prior to procedure
10. Teeth with open apices, presence of complicated root canal anatomy, extreme curvature over 30, endodontic procedural errors, calcified canals and inability to achieve apical patency.
11. Severe labial or lingual malpositioning making straight line access difficult
12. Use of analgesics 24 hours before the single visit root canal treatment
