Inclusion Criteria
Patients diagnosed with acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and admitted
within 72 hours of onset of chest pain.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Previous history of myocardial infarction.
2. Pre-existing thyroid illness.
3. On anticoagulant therapy or taking any thyroid related drug.
4. Previous history of cardiovascular disorder.
5. Cancer, severe renal or liver failure, and inflammatory or infectious disease.
