Age >= 70 years
Planned elective surgical intervention
Expected duration of anaesthesia >= 60 min
Patient able to consent respectively legal representative
Exclusion Criteria
Preoperative delirium
Artificial nutrition
Intracranial intervention
Patients of Gastroenterology (e.g. ileus)
Palliative patients
Non sufficient language skills
No valid consent of participation
