- •Patients with the Metabolic syndrome as defined by the NCEP ATP 3 criteria with atleast 3 of the following
- •1.Fasting plasma glucose > 5.6mmol/l
- •2.Serum Triglycerides > 1.7mmol/l
- •3.Serum HDL Cholesterol < 1.0mmol/l
- •4.Blood pressure >130/85
- •5.Abdominal obesity
- •Waist girth >102cms in males
- •> 88 cms in females
