Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients with the Metabolic syndrome as defined by the NCEP ATP 3 criteria with atleast 3 of the following
- •1\.Fasting plasma glucose \> 5\.6mmol/l
- •2\.Serum Triglycerides \> 1\.7mmol/l
- •3\.Serum HDL Cholesterol \< 1\.0mmol/l
- •4\.Blood pressure \>130/85
- •5\.Abdominal obesity
- •Waist girth \>102cms in males
- •\> 88 cms in females
- •Are the trial subjects under 18? no
- •Number of subjects for this age range:
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients with Diabetes
- •2\.Patients on NSAIDs,Aspirin
- •3\.pregnancy and Lactation
- •4\.Acute Renal and liver disease
- •5\.Acute illness.
