Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •All volunteers must: be between 18 and 55 years old; diagnosis of muscle TMD according to RDC / TMD (Ia and Ib); bilateral TMJ dysfunction; have pain and / or tiredness in the masticatory muscles during functional activities for more than 3 months and; present Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 and 25 kg / m2\. The volunteers should present moderate pain intensity in the chewing muscles during chewing, being represented by a value greater than or equal to 4 cm according to VAS.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Women who have dental failure, open bite, crossbite, full or partial dentures, neuromuscular systemic diseases, history of trauma to the face and / or TMJ, joint dislocation, are undergoing orthodontic and / or drug treatment that affects the musculoskeletal system. in pregnancy, and / or who have a whiplash, previous surgery on the cervical spine, and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
