ASA 1 and 2
patients admitted at least one day before the scheduled surgical procedures
patients able to comprehend and willing to participate
patients with psychiatry diseases or mental retardation
Patients taking anti anxiety ,anti depressant or sedative medications
patients suffering from any malignant condition
patients refusal to participate

Name Time Method To determine the changes in anxiety level and need for information about anaesthesia and surgery among the patients at three different time points preoperatively.Timepoint: 1.Evening before surgery during the pre anaesthetic visit in the ward, <br/ ><br>2.On the day of surgery,in the preoperative holding area,in the operating room, <br/ ><br>3.after being positioned on the operating table.
