Inclusion Criteria
The following patients will be included in the study:
Age group of 18-70 years
ASA physical status I-III
Weight between 40-90 Kgs
Those scheduled for elective major gastrointestinal surgical procedures needing tracheal intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
The patients with a negative Allen test, ulnar artery occlusion, prevalent atherosclerosis, hemorrhagic shock, morbid obesity, Raynaud disease, peripheral vascular disease and coagulation disorders will be excluded from the study.
