Diagnosed case of medically intractable epilepsy
-Well-defined lesions on MRI (hippocampal sclerosis, either focal cortical dysplasia, tumor or gliosis) with defined concordance on inter ictal electroencephalography (EEG), Video EEG.
-Single Neurosurgeon discretion of ECoG guided Epilepsy Surgery
-ASA 1/2
-Good Neuropsychological assessment (Intelligent Quotient (IQ) score > 70)
-Patients with doubtful concordance or with a more diffuse surgical substrate
-Patients with morbid obesity, pregnancy
-ASA 3 and above
-Known allergy to the anesthetic drugs used.
