- Brief Summary
The pilot study will test the feasibility of mobile application (app) developed for providing rehabilitation support to the patients after knee replacement. The mobile app will have pre-recorded videos of the exercises to be performed by the patients, e-education booklet to demonstrate do’s and don’ts, e-communication feature with healthcare providers, e-dairy to enter adherence, and features to self-assess progress. Based on the observed progress, the physiotherapists will remotely modify exercise instructions for individual patients. The study participants would be patient undergoing/undergone the procedure, family member/primary care giver of the patient, and surgeon and physiotherapist providing care at the hospital. The study will assess the extent of app usage by the end user and their experiences. The primary outcome of the study is assessment of ease of e-consultation using Telehealth UsabilityQuestionnaire (TUQ) at 3 months. Several secondary outcomes that include app usage and user experience and satisfaction will be measured.
