Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Postmenopausal women who agreed to include in the study
- •Age between 45 and 65 years
- •More than 1 year since her last period
- •Menopause at ≥ 45 years old by natural or surgical menopause
- •Diagnosed metabolic syndrome, according to the National Cholesterol Education Program, Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP ATP III) : ≥ 3 / 5 (Abdominal obesity \[≥ 80 cm for women; criteria for Asian population], Hypertriglyceridemia \[≥ 150 mg/dL], Low HDL cholesterol \[\< 50 mg/dL], Hypertension \[BP \> 130/ 85 mmHg or use of antihypertensive agent], High fasting glucose \[≥ 100 mg/dL] or use of hypoglycemic agents
Exclusion Criteria
- •Taking hormone replacement therapy \> 6 months
- •Taking medication for osteoporosis
- •Taking steroid more than 3 months
- •Rheumatoid arthritis
- •Thyroid disease or thyroid functional abnormality
- •Malignancy, ESRD, immune deficiency, cardiovascular failure
- •Cerebrovascular disease/ dementia
- •Psychiatric disease
- •Difficult to communicate due to disability
