Inclusion Criteria

1. Age > 25 years old
2. Presentation to the ED with chest pain or other symptoms suggestive of AMI such as chest discomfort.
3. Presentation to the ED within 2-24 hours after chest pain onset

Exclusion Criteria

1. ST elevation or new LBBB shown on EKG
2. Chronic kidney disease stage V or End-stage renal disease
3. Terminal illness
4. Decisions to have no further cardiac testing or intervention
5. History of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) within the last 30 days
6. Patients recruited in the study within 60 days
7. All means of follow up is impossible
