Patient's willingness to participate in the study
Having the consent of the surgeon physician for gargling licorice and green tea
Being Candidate for short Term Elective Surgery (Between Half to One Hour)
Using endotracheal tubes for anesthesia
Ages 18 to 65 years
Ability to communicate and answer questions
having no allergy to licorice and green tea
having no airway infection
No surgery on the head, neck and spine
Ability to semi-sitting position for soluble gargle after surgery
No history of sore throat in the past week
No re-intubation for any reason
Having no history of diabetes
Patient or physician dissatisfaction with continuing study
Intubation time exceeds 30 seconds
Malampati score greater than 2
Action for intubation more than once
Nausea and vomiting after starting a fluid regimen
